Greetings everyone. It has been awhile since we have updated our web page but here we are to let you know what has been happening with Due West Charters and the 'Curve of Time'.

As some of you might remember in 2013 and 2014 we were chartered as the mothership for marine surveys in the Prince Rupert to Nass River areas. These foreshore and bottom surveys had to do with proposed LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) pipelines in that area. Some of trips were pretty interesting as a lot of the areas were new to us. The next year unfortunately saw the decline of the projects  so my deckhand and I spent most of the summer doing maintenance on the 'Curve' and the odd charter. In January after a tour through the Islands we relocated the boat and company to the Powell River area where Marilynn and I now live. April 2016 saw us back at Shelter Island for our quadrennial DOT inspection and bottom paint to get ready for our Cadet trip in May. Although I have been busy, it seems all the time, and have given many local folks a tour of the boat I have not taken advantage of the charter opportunities that I see here.

I want to thank all the really wonderful people both clients, crew and suppliers for making all those trips, over the last 20 years, an exciting and rewarding time in my life. Though I miss it all, I know it is time for someone else to look at our coast with younger eyes. The coast and the charter business are changing faster then I am and I find myself looking back instead of forward.

So time is passing and it is apparent that the vessel needs to be sold if I ever hope to be semi retired. The 'Curve' is now listed with Pleasure Yachts Brokerage out of North Vancouver and we will see what transpires.
